My knowledge of all Earth Sciences is obviously very limited. For instance, I see that Element 115 has been discovered but it decays very rapidly. It doesn’t have to be naturally occurring.

Yes Ophiolite, I am well aware of my lack of knowledge in certain areas of science. The «inner» envelope is the triangular rotor shape used in place of a piston in a Wankel rotary engine, whereas the «outer» envelope is the continuation of the envelope curve along the opposite extreme of motion.» So selecting reference frame = epitrochoid allows the display of the familiar KKM Wankel engine and selecting reference frame = fixed centers shows Wankel’s original DKM engine with rotating housing.You can slow the rotation animation down as well.Looking at eccentricity ratios widely different from what we see in real Wankel engines is quite a revelation too.As if all that wasn’t enough, you also get to download and look at Tony’s open source code and in particular the maths equations he uses to generate the curves.Tony suggests some extensions to his demonstration. Right now I am only in the research stage, so whether it takes 5 or even 10 years for me to feel confortable with the Science of my book, that will be fine, but I do actually want there to be science behind each and everything thing and technology in my novel. Hello, I am doing research for a sci-fi novel that I am writing. Most of my field of study has been in Astronomy so I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to more Earth based sciences. The Richat structure has been dated to 98.2 ± 2.6 mya. I do hold a degree from a university in Astronomy but I do not work in the field professionally. The timing is off.The Tethys Sea dates from 600 mya to 250 mya. I don’t really understand the concept of Uranium or Plutonium and why exactly they give off energy or what the half life has to do with it. What I am really wanting help with is coming up with the properties of this new element that works within the boundries of science.

If there are or were massive aquifers underneath the Sahara — the remains of the Tethys sea, could the African humidity period have been caused by the up welling of gases from this area due to the pressure build up by the higher ground level sitting to the east?
